What
Are my Internet
Connectivity
Solutions?
Internet
backbone connections
As a major
carrier, we provide backbone access to ISPs and corporate customers on
every continent. We can provide you scalable connections at speeds
of up to 155 Mbps at the right price to meet your needs.
Internet
trunking
If you are a
regional ISP, you need to connect your users to the World Wide Web.
We can hook you up quickly and affordably — you can transmit directly
from your earth station or through your local telecommunications company.
Direct-to-Home
We can also
help you establish Direct-to-Home (DTH) services using DVB/IP.
Whether you need to reach a large metropolitan area on the subcontinent,
or a group of tropical islands, our global fleet of satellites can provide
you access to the country or region of your choice.
Internet
access
If you are a
smaller ISP, we can help you expand your reach, by giving you affordable
access to new markets and the strategic benefit of connecting to the
upstream provider of your choice.

What Do I Get With My GlobalConnexE-paymentsm
Service?
As part of GlobalConnexE-paymentsm, customers receive:
- A full transit connection to the global
Internet backbone via Internet gateway router;
- Use of uplink/downlink facilities at Media ports located in London; or in Northern Virginia or
California, in the U.S.;
- Use of a satellite to
transmit/receive IP data traffic to/from the ISP's remote PoP; and
- Assistance in locating qualified
equipment vendors/integrators for customer site installation.
Since data originating from the Internet backbone
to a customer site typically requires significantly more bandwidth
than data traveling in the opposite direction, GlobalConnexE-paymentsm
is offered
primarily as an asymmetric, hybrid service. With this configuration,
only bandwidth-intensive downstream traffic travels via the
satellite link, while requests sent by the Participating Banks or
Financial Institutions and e-businesses are transmitted
through best-effort routing, using ISP's existing terrestrial
connection. In cases where the ISP lacks a suitable request path to
the Internet, GlobalConnexE-paymentsm
is also available as a two-way service, where
both the outgoing and incoming traffic travel via satellite.
